29 November 2023 – Special Meeting at UN Headquarters in New York In accordance with General Assembly resolution 32/40 B of 2 December 1977, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (Solidarity Day) has been marked annually since 1978, on 29 November, to coincide with the anniversary of the adoption of the UNGA Palestine partition resolution of 1947. This year the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP) will hold a Special Meeting to commemorate the event in the ECOSOC Chamber at UNHQ in New York. Events to commemorate the Solidarity Day will also be held at other UN venues worldwide.
